What FloorSQ does
Upload a clear floor-plan image with a trustworthy known distance. FloorSQ identifies the plan and estimates the area inside the selected outline. A valid reference line takes priority when provided; otherwise a room with two readable metric dimensions supplies the fallback scale. Before using the estimate, you can check the reference line or fallback room, then review the room edges and whole-property outline.
In Space Planner, phone and computer users can draw or refine the reference line, measure distances and compare furniture footprints at real dimensions. These overlays support early room-layout decisions without replacing the original area result.
FloorSQ is useful when you are deciding whether a product-size sofa, bed or table suits a room, rearranging or moving existing furniture, or researching a property whose advertised area uses an unclear definition.
Why FloorSQ exists
Furniture listings give dimensions and property listings give prices, bedroom counts and photos, but neither always makes the relationship between an item and a room easy to judge. A product may fit on paper yet block a walkway, while two three-bedroom homes can have very different room sizes and storage.
FloorSQ provides a consistent starting point. It helps furniture shoppers compare product footprints, room planners test arrangements, and property buyers shortlist homes, compare price per square metre and prepare better questions for an agent or inspector.
What it can—and cannot—tell you
FloorSQ can estimate area from a suitable plan, support like-for-like comparisons, show where the scale or outline needs review and help explore whether key furniture footprints may fit within a room layout.
FloorSQ cannot inspect a property, determine which measurement standard was used for an advertised figure, verify title or approvals, assess condition, value a property or provide an official measurement. The result is not a survey, valuation, building report, legal advice or contractual record. If an area figure could affect an important decision, check the relevant registered documents and seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
