Delete your FloorSQ account and data
Last updated 30 August 2026. These instructions apply to FloorSQ accounts created with email verification code or Google, Microsoft or Apple sign-in.
This is FloorSQ’s public user-data-deletion instruction page for email-code accounts and the social sign-in providers currently available through FloorSQ. Signing out or removing FloorSQ from a provider’s settings does not by itself delete the corresponding FloorSQ account in Microsoft Entra External ID. Send us a verified request using the steps below.
1. Submit a deletion request
Open your FloorSQ Account page.
- If you can sign in, open your FloorSQ Account page and note the exact display name and email address or private-relay address shown there. List every sign-in provider you used because separate provider sign-ins may have created separate FloorSQ accounts.
- Email info@floorsq.com.au from an address you control with the subject “FloorSQ account and data deletion”, or use the Contact form and choose “Privacy question”. Include the display name, account email or relay address, sign-in provider or providers, and any job IDs you want us to locate. Do not attach a floor plan unless we specifically request it.
- State whether you want the entire FloorSQ account deleted or only identified active jobs and their files. Removing the entire account will end access to jobs owned by that account.
- Keep our reply and deletion reference. If you later sign in again through an identity provider, Microsoft Entra External ID may create a new FloorSQ customer account.
2. How we verify the request
To protect accounts from unauthorised deletion, we will use the minimum information reasonably needed to match the request to the account and confirm that the requester controls it. We may ask you to sign in again and confirm non-secret account details shown on the Account page, or confirm limited recent-job details. If you no longer control the account email or sign-in provider, explain that in the request; deletion may be delayed or refused until ownership can be established.
FloorSQ will never ask for your Google, Microsoft or Apple password, an email one-time passcode, an access token, a provider client secret or a private key. Do not send those credentials or a government identity document in a routine deletion request.
3. What a verified account-deletion request covers
Subject to the retention exceptions below, FloorSQ will delete or irreversibly de-identify data reasonably linked to the verified account, including:
- the FloorSQ customer record in Microsoft Entra External ID, its email or social-login association, display name and authentication profile claims;
- active FloorSQ jobs owned by that account, including uploaded floor plans, generated images, result data and job settings;
- operational records and support records that can reasonably be linked to the account and are not required for a permitted retention purpose; and
- the requested association between FloorSQ and Google, Microsoft or Apple sign-in. This does not delete or change your account with that external provider.
4. Timing and confirmation
We normally acknowledge a request within 7 calendar days and aim to complete a successfully verified request within 30 calendar days. If a legal obligation, security investigation or technical dependency requires more time, we will explain the reason and provide a revised expected date.
Some short-lived jobs or files may already have expired before we process the request. When processing is complete, we will send confirmation or explain any data that could not be deleted and why.
5. Limited retention exceptions
FloorSQ may retain the minimum information required to comply with law, prevent fraud or other unauthorised activity, investigate security incidents, resolve disputes, establish or defend legal claims, or record that a deletion request was completed. Copies in protected backups may remain until the normal backup rotation completes. Retained data is restricted from routine product use and is deleted or de-identified when the applicable retention need ends.
Google, Microsoft and Apple control information held in their own systems. Use the provider’s account and privacy controls for that information. Revoking FloorSQ access at a provider can stop future sharing, but you should still submit this request if you want data held by FloorSQ deleted.
6. Contact
Send deletion requests to info@floorsq.com.au, or use the FloorSQ Contact form, choosing “Privacy question”. Do not post account identifiers or job IDs publicly.
