From a drawing to a plan you can use

Plan your home in feet and inches.

Start with a floor plan like this two-storey example. Choose Feet & inches, check the scale against a printed room dimension, then review the floor area in square feet (sq ft) and try furniture at its real size.

It includes the garage, patio, porch and wall thicknesses. This automated estimate needs review: check the reference-room boundary and both floor outlines before relying on it.

Check the scale and area

Choose Feet & inches and use a known length, such as the kitchen’s printed 14′ 0″ dimension, to check the scale. Review each floor boundary; the estimated area is shown in sq ft. Metric units are also available.

Try furniture and check clearance

Set furniture dimensions, move, rotate, duplicate and lock items. Home Project shows clearance for selected furniture; Planner Plus can show it across the layout.

Save the work and return later

Save to history to keep the plan, calibration, measurements, furniture and notes together. Registered Free accounts store 1 project with no archive; Home Project stores 10 floor-plan projects; Planner Plus stores 20 floor-plan projects plus 10 workspace projects.
